Jeremy Lin Donates $150,000 to Fight Coronavirus in China

The former NBA veteran who now plays for the CBA’s (Chinese Basketball Association) Beijing Ducks just donated $150,000 through his Foundation to help fight the Coronavirus.

The Jeremy Lin Foundation carries a mission to love and serve children and youth, by providing hope, empowerment and leadership development.

On top of his $150K donation, Lin’s basketball foundation in China has also donated roughly $150K to get medical equipment to Wuhan, the Chinese city at the center of the crisis.

Jeremy rose to international fame with the New York Nicks but he also played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Charlotte Hornets, Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, and Toronto Raptors.

While the Chinese Basketball Association has also suspended its season indefinitely due to Coronavirus, Lin is still training daily for his return.

While encouraging others to stay precautious of the virus, Lin also shared a powerful message to the world—during this difficult time.

“Over the past few weeks, I’ve been monitoring coronavirus and the darkness it’s casted over the world”, Lin said. “News headlines of racism, xenophobia, attacks on Asians and decaying trust towards people. All heartbreaking and the opposite of God’s kingdom. But for every fear-inducing headline, I see hope. I see doctors and nurses fighting the front lines in China, Korea, Japan, Iran, Italy and more. I see people helping people in countries regardless of race or background. Stay together, fight on!”
